1.) Before you travel, take to your
travel agent or research current vaccinations required. Make sure all
immunizations are up to date. Plan ahead to avoid side effects while
traveling. Visit the World Health Organization for current health travel
advisories around the world.
2.) Keep medications packed with you
in your carry on luggage, and make sure you have enough to last the whole trip.
3.)Pack hand sanitizer or
anti-bacterial wipes. Try to keep a fully stocked mini-medicine cabinet with
the basics; Advil, cold medicine, etc.
4.) Check your overseas medical
coverage. If the policy does not cover overseas, buy a supplemental
policy.
5.) Wash your hands frequently.
6.)Use insect repellent to keep
harmful insects at bay.
7.)In some countries, you may need
to be careful about what you eat and drink. Eat properly and stick to foods
that are well-cooked and drinks that are sealed.
8.)Try to stay healthy and fit while
traveling by utilizing hotel gyms, walking and planning outdoor activities.
9.)Get enough rest.
10.) Wear sunscreen.
